Universal Standard Collaborated With Erdem

Size-inclusive brand, Universal Standard has collaborated with the UK fashion house Erdem for the spring 2021 Collection, an eight-piece collection anchored in white and indigo denim that merges notions of romance and utility.

The collection features five denim pieces, marking Erdem’s creative touches — a denim boiler suit, a deconstructed denim skirt, a shirt dress, and two floral print cotton blouses, a wide-legged boyfriend jean, and a high-waisted skinny jean with a double button sailor front.

Pushing the design house out of its comfort zone of ethereal fabrics, this collection puts them into the world of size-inclusive denim. Erdem says, “The industry has been so slow to adapt to inclusive sizing. And, although I do think that there’s been a positive shift in fashion celebrating different shapes and sizes much more than there has been in the past, so much more needs to be done.” The collection is available on the brand’s website.
