Levis launching “Levi’s® x Grateful Dead: Two Legends, One Trip” Collection


Levi’s is launching new “Levi’s® x Grateful Dead: Two Legends, One Trip” capsule collection, celebrating the music, community, and legacy of one of the most iconic bands. Designed for both hardcore Dead Heads — the band’s self-titled community — and casual fans alike, the collection not only offers a deep dive into Grateful Dead iconography, but it also makes for a colorful ’60s-meets-’90s-meets-modern-day addition to any wardrobe.

“We wanted to do something that felt authentically rooted in the Grateful Dead’s incredibly rich and unique history, so we dug deep into some of their more nuanced graphics and storytelling,” said Karyn Hillman, LS&Co.’s chief product officer. “It’s a deep dive into Grateful Dead’s storied narrative and devoted fan base only remixed through a contemporary lens.”

The Levi’s® x Grateful Dead capsule collection includes a lineup of Levi’s® tees, fleece, denim, and accessories that all feature Dead graphics and colorful Dead-inspired tie-dye. A big part of the collection celebrates one of the Dead’s classic live albums, 1971’s “Skull & Roses,” which first introduced the iconic “Skull & Roses” art that would further define the look and feel of the band. The collection includes several pieces featuring the design but with a Levi’s® twist on the original colors.
