Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun. Vice President, BTMA. Managing Director, Abed Textile Processing Mills Ltd. recently shared his view of our Textile and Apparel industry in this post pandemic period with Team Textile Focus.

Textile Focus: How do you see the textile industry of Bangladesh for 2021?

Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun: Despite of this Covid-19 Situation we believe 2021 will open up new avenue for the textile industry. We have to fasten our seatbelt as there might be some turbulence during the journey. Specially this is high time to build up team work specially between the Government and entrepreneurs. As because we have some macro issue to be solved, those are related to the Policy.

Textile Focus:  How can we promote our industry in upcoming days?

Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun: We need to focus on sustainable product manufacturing. And also efficiency development is other core area of development. Upcoming trend is small MOQ and Faster delivery, we have to minimize the gap and accept this. We believe we should not only concentrate on USA and Europe market. We have to explore other market such as Asian and African market where we can also place our product. China, India, North Africa could be ideal example.
