Dekko Apparels organizes Pitha Utshab


On the 20th of February, a very joyous and cheerful event titled Pitha Utshab was held at the DEKKO APPARELS LIMITED (DAL), a unit of DEKKO ISHO GROUP, located in Mirpur.

The event was comprised of workers putting up very colorful stalls with beautifully decorated Shamiyana using bright red, orange, yellow and white floral designs. The factory also set up a photobooth using Kites, Paper Pinwheels and rural decorations. The workers spent the day selling over 50 varieties of Pithas to colleagues and visitors from Head Office and other factories of the Group.

The program was inaugurated by the Honourable Chairman Mr Shahid Hossain Sir and Vice Chairman – Maimuna Hossain Madam. They were welcomed and greeted with colorful flower bouquet and a handcrafted Nokshikatha frame was presented to them which was sewn and made by a factory worker. There were songs, plays, musical group performances, beautifully choreographed group and individual dances, on the joyous theme of “boshonto boron”. The afternoon was comprised of a special treat of 49 types of Pithas for the staff, workers and management at DAL apart from the delicious biryani and chicken roast combo boxes with quantities that would be ample for the worker to share with 1 to 2 more family members. .

There was a raffle draw with gifts consisting of even Gold Chain, Refrigerator, 3 sewing machines, and 3 bicycles. The event was partaken in by Ms Rayana Hossain (Founder and Managing director of ISHO Limited, Group Director of DEKKO ISHO GROUP) and Mr Prottoy Hossain (Founder and Managing Director of DITECH and DIVC, Group Director of DEKKO ISHO GROUP). The other Corporate Head Office leaders also attended this festive program. The event was organized by the HR, Admin team of the factories under the guidance of factory management.
