Cambodia’s apparel exports to Canada saw significant growth in the first half of 2024, reaching $452.9 million, according to recent trade data. The exports were led by trousers and shorts, which accounted for 36.06 percent of the total, reflecting the strong demand for these categories in the Canadian market.
In addition to trousers and shorts, other top export items included jerseys, valued at $74.2 million, T-shirts at $38.6 million, shirts at $31 million, and coats at $21 million. These figures highlight Cambodia’s diverse apparel offering to Canada and its growing importance as a supplier in the global fashion industry.
For comparison, Cambodia’s total apparel exports to Canada in 2023 were $947.3 million, suggesting a steady trade flow between the two nations. This continued growth underlines Cambodia’s role as a key player in the international textile and garment sector, with Canada emerging as one of its significant trading partners.
The robust export performance in the first half of 2024 positions Cambodia for another strong year in the sector, as it seeks to expand its footprint in North American markets.
