Diesel Dials for Pre-Fall 2025 in Recycled Cotton and Denim

“This is a collection about everything in denim, from tailoring to footwear, or pieces treated to seem like denim,” said Glenn Martens, Diesel creative director. The Italian denim brand introduces a new lightweight fluid denim throughout the collection. The drapey fabric is used for a roomy tailored jackets and pants, long denim skirts and oversized shirts that can be knotted or worn loose. The fabric is manipulated in unique ways. Some styles are overdyed in natural colors for a worn effect. Others are padded to give the fabric structure.

Diesel pairs the fluid material with unconventional garments inspired by denim. A jersey skirt has denim-like stitching, and a utility vest combines knit denim with real denim pockets. Jersey T-shirts, bra tops and polos as well as nylon track jackets and gym shorts are treated to look like denim. Trompe l’oeil effects are also applied to leather, including a leather jacket printed to look like a cargo jacket. Other denim highlights include a stretch denim halter neck jumpsuit with cutouts, ultra-long fluid denim dresses with tied necklines and denim pants that have a skirt over the front. Other jeans have ultra-wide legs or moto-inspired cutlines.

Diesel’s focus on denim is carried into its footwear offering. Styles span denim booties with faux shearling lining, denim loafers, denim sock-boots and kitten heel sandals with distressed denim trim straps. Sustainability underpins Diesel’s collection, particularity its use of responsible fibers. The denim fabrics used in the collection contain more than 50 percent regenerative cotton, the brand reported. “The archetypes of denim should be more than just five-pocket jeans: we wanted to push the boundaries and possibilities of our hero fabric. It’s a complete wardrobe with fabric innovations which proves that Diesel is denim, and that denim is Diesel,” Martens added.

The brand continues to nod to the 2000s and 2010s with psychedelic prints, scarves and wrap silhouettes. Psychedelic graphics are printed on knit tops and minidresses, scarf skirts, tracksuits, hoodies, T-shirts, tanks and cami dresses. Scarves are used on the neckline and waist of linen knit tops and mini dresses. Wrap dresses are made with different weights of jersey, so the top half drapes differently to the wrap below the waist. Some have a trompe l’oeil denim print.
