Denim Focus has been talking with Young Industry owners regarding the expectation from the new board of BGMEA and BTMA. Md. Mahbub Khan Himel, Director, Mithela Group expressed his wish to the two new boards.
Expectations from newly elected BTMA & BGMEA dynamic board:
First of all, thank you so very much for the great and outstanding initiative to get the opinion from a young entrepreneur like me. Definitely, BTMA and BGMEA both are the backbones of the Textile and RMG industries. It is undoubted that the expectations from these two giant’s associations are targeted, vision and research-oriented.
In order to sustain a business, the associations can be focusing the following key points:
- Should be published e-journal on BTMA and BGMEA website that covers Textile and RMG trade and commercial information, new products & processes, technological breakthroughs, corporate profile and trade fair information.
- The textile and apparel sector has become the most severely affected among manufacturing sectors due to the Covid 19. So the associations should be proactive and make strong bonding between each other efforts to eliminate its social and economic impact.
- The new boards should take strong steps with the ministry of Textile officials in order to launch various measures like increasing the incentives, tax deduction, affordable raw materials, uninterrupted power supply and many more.
- We know that the textile and clothing industries provide a single source of growth in Bangladesh’s rapidly developing economy, in this point of view BTMA should be made dynamic outcomes for Textile industries in order to do the business quite consistently and to improve competitive positions globally.
