The LYCRA Company, a global leader in innovative and sustainable fiber solutions for the apparel and personal care industries, has published its third annual Sustainability Update and Global Sustainability Scorecard for fiscal year 2023. The report highlights the company’s progress toward achieving its ambitious 2030 sustainability goals.
Central to The LYCRA Company’s strategy is its Planet Agenda framework, which covers three pillars: product sustainability, manufacturing excellence, and corporate responsibility. These pillars are aligned with five of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating the company’s commitment to creating a more sustainable future.

Key achievements in the 2023 Sustainability Update include:
- Progress on the commercialization of bio-derived LYCRA® fiber made with QIRA®.
- The introduction of industrial compostable LYCRA® fiber for personal care applications.
- Expanded technologies that enhance the durability of the LYCRA® ADAPTIV fiber portfolio.
- A 26% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions from the previous year.
Additionally, The LYCRA Company recently received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term emissions reduction goals.
