Denim Focus: How do you see the denim industry of Bangladesh?
Md. Muntakim: The future of Bangladesh’s denim industry is bright. Bangladesh denim industry is currently the top producer of denim in the European Union and United State markets. The denim industry is slated to go past 64 Billion Dollar by 2020. By 2021, apparel manufacturers in Bangladesh will be exporting more than 7 Billion Dollar worth of denim to traditional and non-traditional markets combined.
Denim Focus: How we can develop more in this industry?
Md. Muntakim: In denim industry, fabric and washing are two very important part, we should always focus on latest technology in washing and fabrics manufacturing, will lead us to develop this industry in a consistent way.
Denim Focus: What are the strengths of this industry?
Md. Muntakim: Shorter lead and reasonable prices is our strength.
