Mithila Group and Dreamy Youth Society have assisted to floods affected families in Sylhet


In Araihazar Upazila of Narayanganj, Mithila Group and Dreamy Youth Society have provided assistance to eleven families affected by the catastrophic floods in Sylhet and Sunamganj.

Since Friday (June 24) morning, members of the voluntary organization have been delivering relief items in Badaghat, Kazirgaon, Kandigaon, Shibpur, and Chhatak in Companyganj, Sylhet. On that day, Dreamy Youth Society distributed cooked food to 1100 families.

Md. Mahbub Khan Himel, the founder of the organization, said that the organization provides cash for the flood victims, 11,000 pieces of water purification tablets, 4,000 pieces of food saline, and 11,000 pieces of paracetamol tablets, 100 pieces of sanitary napkins/pads, 100 pieces of soap, 1100 pieces of Napa syrup for children, 1100 kg Chira, 1100 kg Muri, 1100 kg sugarcane molasses, 1100 packets of Prince Toast Biscuits, 8000 pieces of candles, 500 pieces of T-shirts, 1100 gas lighters.

In addition, four boats and 30 BMW umbrellas have been provided for relief and rescue operations.

He further said, ‘Waterlogged helpless people are living a dehumanized life. We have tried our best to stand by the victims. Our humanitarian activities will continue in the future, InshaAllah.
