Japanese denim brand Momotaro Jeans is rebranding itself with new fabrics, a new store and a new website to prepare for its global expansion.
Through the rebrand, the company will introduce fabric developments that further enhance its signature deep indigo ‘Tokuno Blue’ jeans, which are crafted exclusively with the compiled knowledge and skills of the brand’s artisans.
The company has worked with branding group Simone, led by Kaie Murakami, for the rebrand. It has also hired graphic designer Kazuki Kobayashi for the design of a new logo.
A new store will also open on Shinmonzen-dori Street in Kyoto this weekend to attract both local and international customers. The space, designed by architectural unit AS, features the beauty of traditional Kyoto townhouses and the combination of old and new materials.
In addition, the brand is launching a new website to serve both as a sales channel and a branding tool, aiming to reach audiences across borders. The site went live earlier this week, while sales will commence on Saturday.
