Recently Garmon organized a seminar showcasing their latest innovation in washing sector. In that event, Textile Focus talked with Davide Righi, General Manager, Garmon Chemicals about next generation denim innovation. A brief discussion is given below for our respected readers.
Textile Focus: In today’s seminar, what innovative solutions are you presenting for the denim industry?
Davide Righi: Today was a very important moment for Garmon and the Kemin Group to be here in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to present our latest collection. We believe it features all the styles and fashion trends that will drive the industry in the near future. We have coatings, sustainable alternatives to traditional bleaching and PPE applications, and products that can replicate different kinds of effects, especially on denim fabric and ready-to-dye garments. Our focus this time has been developed around three product ranges: coatings, bleaching alternatives, and indigo fixing. Every season, we will be here to present these kinds of innovations to such amazing guests and top players in the Bangladeshi industry — which is, in fact, a leader in the global denim finishing industry.

Textile Focus: At the moment, the global market is facing many challenges. How do you view the Bangladeshi market in this competitive environment?
Davide Righi: Of course, the entire industry is facing challenges right now, especially the garment sector, given all the different variables we have to manage. However, I believe — and I am confident — that the Bangladeshi industry, particularly in denim finishing, has enough resources and resilience to overcome this period. We are here to offer solutions, to engage with customers, to understand their problems, and to provide the best possible ways to navigate these difficult times.

Textile Focus: What are your future plans? And how about the Bangladesh market?
Davide Righi: Our future plans are ambitious. Bangladesh is our largest and most important market — it’s our reference point. If you’re not here, you’re not really in the denim business. Every major innovation in denim happens here. So, we are committed to staying and growing here for the long term, especially as the business remains as vibrant and exciting as it is today.
