Textile auxiliaries manufacturing unit of DYSIN GROUP, the first in country to achieve ZDHC Level 3 certification

Dysin Group Bangladesh is proud to announce that their Textile Auxiliaries manufacturing company under the name of NAM Trading & Manufacturing Co., Ltd., is now certified to ZDHC Confidence Level 3 (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) – the highest ZDHC certification level currently available.

Textile auxiliaries manufacturing unit of DYSIN GROUP, the first in country to achieve ZDHC Level 3 certificationZDHC Confidence Level 3 means that over 35 products for Textile dyeing, printing & finishing process manufactured by DYSIN which are certified by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) version 6.0 also meet ZDHC’s MRSL (Manufacturing Restricted Substances List) and are verified as being responsibly manufactured.

The GOTS Version 6.0 and ZDHC Level-3 certification have been obtained through a vigorous factory audit performed by the Bangladesh office of Control Union, a global certification company. Control Union Certifications provides services around the sustainability of the industry’s supply chains which feed into textiles and various industries.

ZDHC aims to remove harmful chemicals from production and the supply chain to protect workers, consumers, and the environment. DYSIN ensures that its core ranges not only conform to the requirements of ZDHCs MRSL but to the strict MRSLs of global brands and retailers. Through our efforts, we are reducing not only our chemical footprint and environmental impact, but the impact of our customers as well, Mr. Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of DYSIN Group announced in a press release today on the final day of the 40th Dye+Chem Exhibition 2022 in Dhaka.

“Working to be certified as ZDHC level 3 was a key achievement in our commitment to driving the Bangladesh textile industry to be more environmentally friendly and reducing its impact on the environment”, Managing Director of DYSIN Group, Mr. Md. Amanur Rahman said. He also said that “Dysin since its inception in 1984 has invested in developing local technical expertise, such as ISO-certified laboratories, technology & demonstration centers for Dyeing, Printing and washing. Our first manufacturing unit for Textile Auxiliaries was established in 1990 and has grown over the years. Now Dysin has three manufacturing units under two companies, including a 100% export-oriented unit that serves the Garment Export factories having a bond license.

Mr. Rahman pointed out that instead of importing chemicals from abroad, garments & textile factories can save valuable foreign currency, reduce their inventory, and reduce the lead time of garments export if they buy from local Textile Auxiliaries manufacturing companies like those of DYSIN group.

Mr. Rahman, who is also the convener of Bangladesh Chemical & Dyestuff Manufacturers’ & Exporters’ Association, said, “we believe Bangladesh is at a turning point of Industrialization with huge potentialities for growth of textile and other Industries. The growth prospect of local chemical manufacturing is also very large. Chemical Industry can bring the second wave of industrial & export growth of Bangladesh after textile industry.”

Dysin is continuously investing to expand its manufacturing capabilities of textile Auxiliaries. DYSIN will add products to the ZDHC and GOTS lists based on commercial needs, continuing to build on the certified range, the company said in a media statement.
