If we analyze the single month data, country’s RMG export increased by 14.46% to US$ 3.61 billion in September 2023 from US$ 3.16 billion in the same month of 2022.
Md. Mohiuddin Rubel Director of BGMEA said.
Though the orders had been plummeting in the last couple of months, but this growth in single month is really extraordinary. Since we are exploring new growth opportunities including product and market diversification, technology and innovation, we have started gaining the benefits. However, the cost of production has become skyrocketed due to the global inflation. The apparel import by our major markets like EU and USE from both world and Bangladesh have been declined over the past few months which is also alarming for us.
