The program for the Canadian nonprofit organization Fashion Takes Action’s WEAR conference, which will be held at Toronto’s Beanfield Centre from October 6 to 7, has been released.
WEAR is Canada’s premier forum hosted by Fashion Takes Action, that aims to inspire and accelerate sustainability within the global fashion industry. This year’s theme, Impact with Intention, recognizes that it’s not enough to simply set a goal. Intention provides us with purpose, inspiration and motivation to achieve measurable impact.
Impact with Intention is this year’s forum’s topic. Discussions on themes including the reuse economy, cotton traceability and transparency, biomaterials, impact reporting, textile-to-textile recycling, net positive, life-cycle evaluations, and sustainability storytelling are among the presentations that have already been announced.
Since 2014, the World Ethical Apparel Roundtable has brought together the entire fashion industry to learn, network and collaborate.
