ISKO LUXURY BY PG Unveils ‘Denim Beyond Surface’ Collection for Spring/Summer 2028

The seven-chapter collection explores colour, metallic finishes, flocking, digital printing, stretch fabrics and refined cotton yarns while retaining denim’s traditional identity.

ISKO LUXURY BY PG has introduced ‘DENIM BEYOND SURFACE’, a collection for Spring/Summer 2028 that explores new textile expressions through colour, light, movement and surface experimentation. Developed under the creative direction of Paolo Gnutti, the collection comprises seven textile families that combine material innovation with denim’s established characteristics.

From Collection to Story

Following the previous season’s ‘H.A. Human Art’, which explored the value of human creativity in an increasingly AI-driven world, Gnutti has adopted a new narrative approach for Spring/Summer 2028.

The collection is conceived as a film or book, with each of its seven capsules forming a separate chapter within a shared story. The concept also incorporates the people involved in its development, including teams from sales, research and development, the creative room and production.

Rather than presenting the capsules as independent collections, the approach connects their different textile treatments through a common creative direction.

Past, Present and Future of Denim

The collection follows Gnutti’s approach of drawing on denim’s traditional design codes while exploring contemporary materials and production techniques. The aim is to develop new fabric expressions without losing the characteristics associated with denim.

Commenting on the collection, Paolo Gnutti said, “I always say that my collections are stories. This season I wanted to make that idea visible, imagining the collection as a film or a book. Each capsule is a chapter, but the story belongs to everyone who helped create it. With DENIM BEYOND SURFACE, the surface becomes the beginning of the story, not the end. We look to the past, work in the present and create fabrics for the future.”

Seven Textile Families Define the Collection

The collection is organised into seven textile families, each exploring a different combination of materials, surface treatments and fabric characteristics.

1. Color Dust: Color Dust combines coloured flock with ecru bases to create contrast and irregular surface effects. Abrasion and controlled garment treatments reveal portions of the lighter underlying fabric, making the resulting marks part of the textile’s appearance.
2. Saints & Sinners: Saints & Sinners explores concealed metallic finishes beneath coloured flock. Gold or silver layers are revealed through laser treatments and selective surface removal, creating contrasts between metallic detailing and the underlying textile.
3. Star Dust: Star Dust incorporates glitter into the adhesive layer beneath the flock. Abrasion or selective removal reveals the glitter, adding a secondary visual effect to the compact textile surface.
4. Liquid Metal: Liquid Metal combines denim bases in black and indigo with metallic foils in gold, silver and other finishes. The treatment creates reflective surfaces that contrast with the underlying fabric.
5. Pixel: Pixel uses digital printing to transfer customer artwork onto flock across different fabric bases. The approach supports the use of images, graphics and colour in textile design, with scope for individual expression and customisation.
6. Follow Me: Follow Me features lightweight ecru and indigo stretch bases designed to combine flexibility, softness and comfort with all-over flock. The range includes ready-to-dye white flock and coloured flock, offering different possibilities for fabric development.
7. Combed Yarn: Combed Yarn focuses on heritage denim constructions made with combed cotton yarns. According to the collection description, these yarns produce cleaner fabric surfaces, a richer hand feel and natural luminosity while retaining denim’s traditional character.

Exploring Denim Beyond the Surface

Through its seven textile families, DENIM BEYOND SURFACE explores how flocking, metallic finishes, digital printing, stretch constructions and yarn selection can change the visual and tactile characteristics of denim. The Spring/Summer 2028 collection brings these approaches together under a single creative concept, connecting material experimentation with the traditional identity of denim.
