Among these, 80 hold the esteemed LEED Platinum rating, while 119 have achieved the coveted Gold status.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan commended the milestone, emphasizing that the increasing number of certified factories underscores Bangladesh’s commitment to sustainable garment manufacturing. He noted that in 2024 alone, seven Ready-Made Garment (RMG) factories have been awarded LEED certification, with four attaining Platinum and three securing Gold ratings.

“This achievement further solidifies Bangladesh’s standing as a global leader in sustainable garment manufacturing. More importantly, it embodies the industry’s vision for the future,” remarked President Hassan.

Encouraging stakeholders to maintain this momentum, President Faruque Hassan concluded, “Let’s reinforce Bangladesh’s position as a champion of sustainable fashion and continue our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.”
